FF Astronauts DFS Week 11

Welcome to the FF_Astronauts weekly DFS column.

The column will cover values picks, must have players, bust players and key positional players each week from Nathan McGuire, Alex Edwards and @FF_Spotlight.

Let's take a look at week 11 of the Sunday main slate.

Value Pick

Jakobi Meyers, New England, $4,900

Since week 7, Meyers has really came on for New England as their WR1. In the last four games, he has averaged 17.95 points on DraftKings and 9.25 targets. This week he gets to go against the Houston defense, who ranks 17 against WRs on DraftKings. Meyers is priced as the 31st highest price for a WR this week, I expect him to easily outperform that and finish as a top 12 WR in the main slate.

Don't Believe the Hype (Bust Player)

Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis, $5,200

Off of his big week last week, an advantageous opponent, and a favorable price, Nyheim Hines will be rolling in with a high usage rate. However, what has changed from week 2 to now in terms of the backfield situation in Indianapolis? Nothing. We are still looking at a RBBC, and in ten weeks, Hines has had three 20+ point games and 7 games below 11 points (six of those were single digits). I am willing to accept the risk of missing a big game from a high usage player

Must Have Players

Dalvin Cook, Minnesota, $9,000

Explosion. Dalvin Cook is exploding on the field and crushing it for fantasy. He had a bit of a down week against the Bears in week 10 with only 15 points. He is averaging 28.7 points per game this year and has scored 29.9 points or more in four games this year. Don't forget the 51.6 he scored against Green Bay in week 8 either! Dallas has allowed 100 yards rushing in all, but two games this year. The Browns had a whopping 307 yards rushing versus this defense. When Dak Prescott was playing the defense let up all the points and Dak was always in a shoot-out. Now, look for Dallas to have trouble moving the ball on offense and for Dalvin to pound the rock to burn down the clock.

QB

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers, $6,800

Herbert has been having an amazing rookie year, especially in fantasy. His lowest score so far this year has been 19.7 on DraftKings. This week the Chargers get to go against the winless Jets. They are allowing 288.6 passing yards per game which ranks 29th. Despite the terrible haircut, look for Herbert to have another one of his great rookie performances.

RB

Damien Harris, New England, $5,700

The ol' Fire vs Ice argument. We all hate relying on someone from New England's backfield, but we all love playing a back facing the 32nd ranked rush defense in the league. Damien Harris and this RBBC is different from years past. Harris is averaging 5.5 ypc on the SEASON. He has started every game he has played with a 100-yard game in half his games. This is a run-first team and look for Harris to have a big game behind the top-ranked offensive line in the league.

WR

Terry McClaurin, Washington, $6,900

Self-proclaimed nickname for Terry is F1, like the F1 McClaurin sports car, and not Scary Terry. F1 has been flying high this year through all of the different quarterback changes. That says to me that F1 knows how to get open. He can get so open that all his quarterbacks have no problem feeding him the ball. He has scored over 20 points in four of his nine games and scored over 27 points in two of them. He is priced to need to score around 20 points to meet his salary and luckily he is facing Cincinnati this week. The Bengals are 26th against opposing wide receivers this year according to DraftKings and McLaurin has a large portion of the target share for The Washington Football Team. Fuel up your F1 McLaurin.

TE

Austin Hooper, Cleveland, $3,900

It's been a down year for Hooper since joining Cleveland and struggling with injuries. But look for him to have a solid performance this week. Cleveland is going up against Philadelphia who has been the worst so far this year against Tight Ends, ranking 32nd on DraftKings. Its a weak week for Tight Ends, the highest price being $4,900, but Hooper still brings in value at $3,900 and possibly coming through with his best week yet,

DEF

Detroit, $2,700

Detroit is facing an XFL QB. I know PJ Walker was likely the XFL MVP, but his lack of experience and early reliance on the short game with deep ball WRs will allow Detroit opportunities to at least create a low-scoring affair. It should be a low-usage play with high upside.

FAVORITE STACKS FOR WEEK 10

Watson ($6,500) - Fuller V ($6,200) - Cooks ($5,200): Watson is averaging 23 points per game and has been supporting both Fuller and Cooks in the last few weeks. The poor weather in Cleveland last week deflated their numbers. Look for them to inflate in this week against NE.

@FF_Spotlight

Newton ($6,200) - Harris ($5,700) - Meyers ($4,900): The Houston defense has been susceptible this year, especially in the rushing game, look for Newton and Harris to capitalize on that. Also, Harris is getting volume in the rushing attack lately and Newton is hyper-targeting Meyers.

Alex Edwards, @ItsDraftSzn

Cousins ($6,200)- Theilen ($6,300)- Jefferson ($6,000): Dallas is getting a turnover-prone Andy Dalton back under center this week. Theilen and Jefferson will both have plenty of opportunities to create plays on the edges especially if Cook is banged up. Dallas is a virtual bye week for offenses.

DATA POINT - WEEK 11

Justin Jefferson is 6th in receiving yards at 762 yds, despite only being targeted 54 times, the next closest targets in the top 10 would be 69 targets for DJ Moore.

Alex Edwards, @ItsDraftSzn

Three of the 2020 NFL rookie RBs have posted impressive ypc to this point in the season. CEH: 4.65, Swift: 4.73, Dobbins: 5.4.

Taysom Hill has been listed as the starter for week 11 and has taken all of the first team reps in practice.
