FF Astronauts DFS Week 2

Welcome to the FF_Astronauts weekly DFS column.
The column will cover values picks, must have players, bust players and key positional players each week from Nathan McGuire, Alex Edwards and @FF_Spotlight.
Drafted Michael Thomas, Leonard Fournette, Courtland Sutton, and Marlon Mack all on the same team? Don't worry, daily fantasy sports are here! DraftKings games start at $0 for a fresh slate every week.
Let's take a look at week 2 of the Sunday main slate.
Value Pick
Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh, $4,500

Johnson struggled at first in the opening week, fumbling a punt and a drop in the first half. But in the second half, he found his groove and finished strong with 10 targets and 10.7 points on DraftKings. I expect Johnson to put together a solid game this week as Roethlisberger continues to target him.

Don't Believe the Hype (Bust Player)
Russell Gage, Atlanta, $4,800

Russell Gage was the hidden gem of week 1. Priced at $4,300 he was one of the best values of last week. Now, priced at $4,800 he still feels like a steal, right? Wrong. Dallas' pass rush looked formidable this weekend. They have pass rushers across the board. Matt Ryan will not have the same amount of time that he had this last weekend. The read progression will be shorter, and Russell Gage will be the odd man out.

Must Have Players
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City, $7,400

Clyde Edwards-Helaire started his NFL debut with a bang! Breaking seven tackles and hitting the hole hard he put up highlight reel runs right away. This is his first week on the DFS main slate and pulls a favorable matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. There is a lot of potential still untapped from his breakout performance in week 1 where he made no receptions. With the PPR scoring system he has lots of room for improvement in week 2. Six goal line touches are also quite promising. Expect him to score 23.27 points to meet his salary cost.
@FF_Spotlight
QB
Kyler Murray, Arizona, $6,100

Kyler was my QB pick last week and is again this week. He scored 27.3 last week making him the 6th highest scoring QB in week 1. Despite that, his price has gone down for week 2 as the 11th most expensive QB on DraftKing. Still, I project him to have a top 5 QB performance this week. Look for him and Hopkins to continue their connection they had week 1.
Alex Edwards, @ItsDraftSzn
RB
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis, $5,700

Jonathan Taylor was priced at $5,700 last week and had two touches in the first half. This week he has the same price tag with a much higher ceiling. The 2.4 ypc is less than ideal against a presumably weak defense; however, I believe that will change (possibly a Wisconsin Badger fan bias). Taylor is a freak. He is bigger than any linebacker trying to tackle him. He got 5 targets in the second half with a 100% catch rate. The Packers averaged 4.9 ypc against the Vikings, and if Philip Rivers has taught us anything in the last two years, he will throw it to his RBs A LOT.

WR
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas, $4,700

Lamb looked like a solid NFL started in the late game on Sunday. His target share will likely increase with loss of Blake Jarwin for the season. His salary of $4700 requires 14.78 points to be a value. The Cowboys are playing the Atlanta Falcons that are coming off a great fantasy week. They will be ready to score and there is plenty of room on the Dallas offense for Lamb to succeed. He had five receptions for 59 yards in the loss last week. It is possible that Dallas' offense can sustain Gallup, Cooper and Lamb.
@FF_Spotlight
TE
Mark Andrews, Baltimore, $6,300

Andrews had a great week 1 scoring 22.8 with 2 TDs. It might be tough for him to repeat that performance but he showed his consistency in 2019 and I expect him to show that consistency in week 2. Houston struggled with Kelce in week 1 and I expect them to struggle with Andrews as well. Don't be surprised when he has another 20+ point performance, making him worth his DraftKings price.

DEF
Los Angeles Rams, $2,800

The Rams held a tight powered Dallas offense to 17 points with 3 sacks. This week they are going against the Philadelphia Eagles whom made the Washington Football Team the #1 defense in Fantasy. Their O-Line is banged up. Their WRs are hurt and unproven. Wentz looks scared and had two INTs last week. The Eagles have no answers for Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.

LESSONS LEARNED FROM WEEK 1
@FF_Spotlight
The rookie heavy Panthers defense is quite vulnerable to the run.
Alex Edwards, @ItsDraftSzn
The Vikings corners are going to be an easy target to attack.
Nathan McGuire
Tyrod Taylor does not like RBs.
DATA POINT - WEEK 1
Alex Edwards, @ItsDraftSzn
Indianapolis RBs combined for 50.8 points.
Nathan McGuire
James Robinson was the only RB in the NFL to have 100% of his teams RB carries.
@FF_Spotlight
Davante Adams score of 44.6 points nearly doubled the minimum projection points to meet his salary cost. @FF_Spotlight points projection was 22.96.
